Due to the forthcoming integration of the IT systems of Lloyds Bank International with the Banco Sabadell group, scheduled for 15 march, it will be necessary to sign the operations and files sent using the code card of one or more authorised users as set forth in the associated account. The aim of this measure is to increase the security of your distance banking operations. The only exceptions are sending N19 files of direct debited bills and operations such as tax payments or cheque deposit, which will not require confirmation using a code card.
Therefore, authorised persons must have the online banking service to continue sending files as usual and will sign the operations performed using their own personal code card which we will provide.
It is important to take into account that the number of signatures required always depends on the powers of the account in which an operation is performed. If it is a signature for an operation against an account, the system will require the signature of an authorised user of said account, while if it is made against a joint or special account, the distance banking service will abide by the specifications defined for this account, two signature, that of all the authorised users, etc.
For normal operation of day-to-day matters and regular operations, the authorised users may also request access for non-authorised third parties as from 16 march.
- Limited Access Code, which can be obtained directly from the new portal and provides access in query mode
- Secondary card, which can be requested at your Branch and allows you to configure the permit level for the person the card is assigned to via the Internet.
Below you can see the frequently-asked questions:
- What is a code card?
It is a personal and non-transferrable card that you receive with your distance banking contract. On the back of the card it contains your confirmation key codes.
When you carry out an operation by telephone or internet, you will be asked for a code from your code card, which for the operation in question will be your digital signature.
- Why must I sign all operations?
On 15 March 2014, the integration of the computer systems of Lloyds Bank International into those of the Banco Sabadell group will be completed.
From that date onwards, it will be obligatory to sign all operations and files with the code card of an authorised person in all cases. This measure is intended to increase the security of your distance banking operations.
- Do I need to have a distance banking contract to be able to sign operations?
You need to have an Online Banking contract to operate and send files, those that have not been registered will cease to be operative following the integration.
To be able to continue operating normally from 15 march, customers who currently operate with or send files and who wish to continue using this function must register with Online Banking.
- Which people should sign a distance banking contract?
They must be persons authorised by the company. Persons with account authorisation must sign any operations that they carry out using their own personal BS Online code card, which we will provide.
One or several people will have to sign according to the company’s signing needs.
- Which people must sign?
They must be persons authorised by the company. Persons with account authorisation must sign any operations that they carry out using their own personal code card, which we will provide.
If files are being issued by other persons, third-party access must be applied for, with Secondary Cards or Limited Access Keys, LAK, so that they can operate.
- Can an unauthorised person have access to the company’s accounts?
Should access for unauthorised persons in the company be required, those authorised can request Limited Access Keys on the Banco Sabadell website from 15 march.
The option also exists to supply one of the authorised persons with a secondary card and for that person, via the internet, to configure the level of access wanted for that card.
- What is a Secondary Code Card?
It is a code card that you can apply for at your branch so that third parties who are not authorised persons or account holders, may have access to operate and sign transactions.
Once the branch has provided you with this card, the authorised person for the account must configure via BS Online Companies the accesses and limits to the secondary card.
Its default accesses and limits will be the same as the main card.
- What is the Limited Access Key (LAK)?
It is an access key that the person with account authorisation can activate via BS Online Companies, so that a third party can have access to the company’s account in consultation mode.
The person with account authorisation must select the operations that the new LAK will allow.
Unlike the secondary code card, this LAK will allow the user to consult accounts and initiate operations, but to complete them, they must be signed by a user or authorised party of the account.
